Our Italian mother used to whip up these yummy dough pockets when we came home from school for lunch. They’re easy to pick up and dip in sauce.Marie Rizzio, Interlochen, MI

Not one person who reviewed actually MADE this recipe. Any challengers?

Cherrylady if the pre-made pizza dough is a concern of yours then make homemade dough or buy a package of dough from Trader Joes or your local pizza parlor. The recipe sounds great and yes I will make my own dough.

I'd love to see a review from someone who actually made the recipe. I love spinach, but was so disappointed to see that it uses refrigerated pizza crust. I've never been impressed with that product. I don't want to go to all the time and effort and have it taste like a shoe box! I vote that actually making and eating the recipe be a requirement BEFORE rating and reviewing it!

Recipe looks good - but to those worried, it's more likely the cheeses are the cause of the high sodium. Around one-tenth of the sodium comes from the sauce.

I for sure will try this recipe. I don't care about the sodium either.

Thank you for the comment about sodium. I wasn't aware that Hunts had higher sodium. I hardly look at labels for sodium but it's a good reminder.

I'm anxious to try this one--sounds delicious! I've never tasted Gargonzola or fontina cheese, but it sounds so Italian, and I love Italian food. I'll report back and let you know. I'll use Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce since that's what I prefer.

Great recipe but it's way way too high in sodium due to the Hunt's sauce. I suggest a different sauce.
