This hearty chili is filling, nourishing and tastes like it simmered all day long. Leftover chili freezes well for a later time, so why not make a double recipe? To freeze: Cool remaining chili and transfer to freezer containers. Cover and freeze for up to 3 months. To use frozen chili: Thaw in the refrigerator. Place in a saucepan and heat through. This was so easy and so good! We like it better with diced tomatoes instead of stewed tomatoes, but it worked great either way. I made this for a family gathering and it was a big hit!

LOVE this chili! only used 1 lb ground beef & it was perfect! will be making this again soon but would add something to make it a tad spicy. YUM.

This was so good. I used 1 pound of beef instead of 2 and used two packs of taco seasoning. It makes plenty, enough for lunch the next day and some for freezing.

so simple and good...and cheap! I can't say enough good things about the recipe...it only required 2 dishes to make (the strainer and the pot to cook it in) and was absurdly simple. The only difference i made was by using spicy refried beans and 2 taco seasoning packets and no olives (my picky husband doesn't like em) and it was sooo good served with light sour cream and tortilla chips...i'm going to experiment next time with making it in the slow cooker with chicken

I doubled this recipe but only used 2 pounds of beef. I also made this in my crockpot even though it doesn't take long to make. The family loved this. The kids topped theirs with tortilla chips and cheese. Since we had a lot left over we poured some over baked potatoes the next night. Very good!

This is by far THE BEST "Taco Soup-like" recipe Ive tried and Ive tried alot of them. My husband and 2 children raved and have asked me to make it again and again. I love freezing small portions for quick, easy meals when its grab what you want night. My son has asked that I send a bowl in his lunch the next time I make it. We like ours with corn chips and sour cream.

My whole family loved this Chili! It tasted like it was simmering for hours. I had most of the ingredients in my pantry ao it went together very quickly.

Since there are only two of us, I divided this dish into two containers. Froze half, and ate the other half immediately. I did make one change. Since there were 2 lbs. of meat I used two packs of taco seasoning. I will be making this again the future it was very easy to prepare.
