Golden flecks of pineapple give these burgers a touch of sweetness, while the ginger root adds some spice. Ground chicken works well in this recipe, too. —Margaret Wilson, Hemet, California

followed the receipe the first time I saw this and we enjoyed them. I now only use ground turkey or chicken and sometimes add fine chopped vegetables. Grandkids love them. They can be difficult to grill. I use a low or indirect heat, a well oiled grill, an oiled flipper and turn often. If you still have problems, try placing the patties on a cold, oiled metal cookie rack then on your grill. Less chance of patties falling thru.

I haven't made this recipe, but for those of you who said the burgers didn't stay together, perhaps adding 1/4 cup of egg substitute would help them stay together without changing the taste.

I thought this was delicious! There is alot of pineapple. I broiled mine. If you want to tone down the pineapple you could eliminate the slice on top and maybe add some of the sauce as a dressing. I liked the sweet touch of the fruit.

This recipe is a joke. At least 50% of my burgers fell thru the grates and are on the bottom of the grill. What I salvaged looked like hash on the bun. If the flavor would have been better, I would have tried again maybe with alterations, but they were nothing special.

These burgers are great! We used all ground turkey, cooked them on the stovetop, and spread some of the ketchup mixture on the buns. Served with beer-battered onion rings, YUM.

I've made this as the recipe states and they were delicious. I also modified it using all turkey, a 93/7 lean combine with ground turkey breast. That doubles the amount of meat called for so I doubled the rest and made meatloaf out of it and it was fantastic. I make this about once a month!

THese fell apart completely when I tried to cook them. I followed the recipe exactly and I ended up with Teriyaki Manwiches.

These were great. So tender and juicy. I would add a little more soy sauce to give it more of a kick. My 12 month old even liked them and she doesn't usually like ground beef. YUM!!

These were good and juicy, but several of my burgers fell apart when we tried to create a sandwich of them. I guess the ground turkey just doesn't stay together as well as ground beef. Also, I think there may have been just a little too much pineapple in these - in the sauce, in the burger and then a big slice on top. A little overwhelming for some of my diners.
