This is the best roast I have EVER made hands down! The meat was so tender and the flavor of the sauce that it produced was delicious!I didn't have any apple juice on hand so I used about a cup of natural apple sauce instead. Like a previous reviewer, I added some garlic and ginger and a handfull of chopped green onion to the sauce mixture before letting it simmer in the crock pot 4 hours. When we arrived home from church the smell of the roast filled the kitchen and we all dove in right away!I will keep this recipe and use it as my signature roast recipe- it was that good! ☺Thank you!

Delicious-I added a tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, some fresh minced garlic and ginger. A keeper and I am not even a big fan of pork shoulder(I prefer the loin) but this was great! My son and hubby enjoyed it also.

I made this recipe last Sunday & it is fabulous. I did add one package of marinade spices that I added to the brown sugar before I rubbed it into the roast...wonderful flavor & so easy. Thanks so much for sharing...I will be making this one again and again!maggie56
