These cookies are easy to make and are delicious. I did replace the 1 tsp. of vanilla with 2 tsp. of anise flavor in the cookie to make it more italian style and I also added anise flavor to the frosting instead of vanilla. Either way whatever flavor you use I am sure would be wonderful. Great cookies, thanks for sharing this recipe. :)
