This had a great flavor and both my husband and I loved it. I used Cajun seasoning instead of Cayenne, used water instead of coffee, and used tomatoes with green chilies. Will definitely be making this again! Fantastic meatless meal option.

We love this recipe! My husband is a total meat and potatoes kind of guy, and he doesn't miss the meat at all. It also reheats nicely for leftovers the next day. The only thing that I would recommend is to skip the cheese. I love cheese as much as the next person, but it just seemed to coat my spoon in cheesy goo without really adding any taste to the chili.

Did not enjoy this. It was a total bummer. Going to figure out how I can make it into something that my husband and I will eat. The flavor is just so of odd, but bland. An awkward flavor.

Love it. The sweet potatoes give a sweet and the chili is mild and spicy. Great combination. This will be in my recipe book

I'm glad I only used two sweet potatoes instead of three. I thought they totally over powered all the other flavors. My husband wasn't thrilled.

looks good, but I wonder about adding more protein so that it is a whole meal in one.

I love black beans but I'm not a big fan of sweet potatoes but this flavor combo interested me so I tried it using just one very large sweet potato and I loved it!! I diced it small and it looked like so much, I really can't imagine putting 3 large sweet potatoes in this. But the flavors are wonderful together. The honey and the coffee really put a different spin on it. Great change of pace!

Wow--weirdest fabulous recipe I've ever made. Never would have put all this together, but it sure works. I cut the cayenne in half and added about 1/2 cup water (as recommended by another reviewer). I cooked as directed and put it in the crock pot for a few hours on low--GREAT.
