I really wanted to like this, I really did. I followed the recipe to the letter. I was hoping the sauce would become thick and sweet - it was so disappointing. The meat itself was so tender it fell off the bones - but the sauce was way too thin (more like broth than sauce) and was very bland. I served it over white rice with broccoli as a side dish. I used crushed pineapple in juice, and bbq sauce with honey in it - to no avail. I love the concept but not the recipe. I will continue to search for a sweet and sour pork recipe that works in the crock pot. Sorry for the bad review.

The sauce was actually pretty good, but I cant think of what I'd use it on. I didnt like it on the pork. I dont like sweet meat, and this was way too sweet. Loved that it was a crockpot recipe, making it very easy, but the pork came out unusually dry. Maybe I needed more fat in the chops? The family ate it, but nobody requested seconds, or said they'd like me to make it again.

I forgot to rate this - not a big hit in my house.

These were very easy to make and the chops were tender we just did not find them to be as tasty as we hoped. I served them over rice as they were very saucy and my husband loves rice but this was just OK.

These chops certainly are easy to make. After 5 hours I took the chops out of the crockpot. I thickened the sauce in a sauce pan on the stove top with cornstarch. I served them over white rice using soy sauce as a condiment. The sweet sauce and the salty soy are truly savory. Will I make them again? No. It wasn't a hit with my family. Although it is tasty just not our favorite.

I liked this dish but my husband LOVED it! I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Ready in about 4 hours on low in my slow cooker. Very good.

I'm sorry but I didn't care for these. They were tender but I wouldn't make them again. Followed the recipe exactly as written except I cooked them covered in the oven for close to an hour.

I think they would be less watery if baked uncovered for a few minutes before serving.

My family loves this recipe. It is now a standard one I use in my usual rotation. I usually don't have chili sauce, so I use seafood cocktail sauce instead.

My boyfriend, who isn't much of a fan of pork chops, declared love at first bite. It has become a weekly dinner & he even passed it on to his folks to enjoy. Simply wonderful!

We have made this on numberous occasions - always doubling the recipe for plenty of leftovers or to make pulled pork sandwiches. This also works well with chicken.

I made it for two in my little small slow cooker but I used the full sauce and it was great. You could put the extra sauce over potatoes.

This was really good. The chops were moist and tender, and the dish was easy to make.

These are delicious! I added minced garlic and a little Worcestershire and soy sauce.I used Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce -original, so I added 1 tablespoon honey. I brown my chops first and have used both the bone-in and the boneless. Both are terrific-great recipe! We love these with mashed potatoes.

Thanks for sharing your recipe, Laurie. Small world, it seems. We live in Oxford, NY, 10 mi. south of Norwich. We love the way slow cooker keeps chops moist.

Made with both homemade barbecue sauce and chili sauce, these chops are outstanding.

Thank you Laurie for this recipe.

And by the way, I live in Oxford, NY.
