2-1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon sugar 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 cup water 1 tablespoon butter 6 thin slices deli ham 6 thin slices cheddar or Swiss cheese 6 thin slices summer sausage or salami 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1/2 cup julienned green pepper 1 egg white, lightly beaten 1/2 to 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, optional
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1-1/2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and garlic salt. In a saucepan, heat water and butter to 120°-130°. Add to dry ingredients; beat just until moistened. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly
