My family really enjoys this refreshing salad. If strawberries aren’t available, you can substitute mandarin oranges and dried cranberries. —Irene Keller, Kalamazoo, Michigan

Keeping Lettuce FreshTo store lettuce to keep it crisp and fresh, wash lettuce in cold water and drain very well. Use a “salad spinner” or pat it dry with paper towels. Store in a resealable plastic bag or airtight container with a dry paper towel in the bottom to absorb any leftover moisture. (Be certain to replace the towel if it gets wet.) For extra-crispy salads, you may want to use a lettuce variety like romaine that’s naturally more crisp.

I made this salad for Easter dinner. My family loved it with the fresh strawberries. The dressing was easy to make, especially since all the ingredients were already in my pantry.

I made this recipe for Easter. It was a big hit. The salad dressing was very tasty. It was just the right amount for me. I don't like alot of dressing on my salads.

I make a similiar recipe but use red onion and raspberry vinegar instead then top it off with candied slivered almonds. Tastes wonderful!

This salad was a hit with family! Used red onion (not so sharp as yellow) and doubled dressing. Super easy and delicious. Will definitly add to recipes keep.

Got many comments on how good the dressing was and how light the salad tasted. Very easy -- absolutely will make again.

Made this for Easter dinner and everyone loved it! I doubled the dressing recipe just to make sure I had enough. This is definitely going into the recipe collection! Thanks for a great recipe!

Great recipe, though I have to confess I substituted the dressing for a store bought poppy seed dressing. Very easy and delicious. I fed it it 3 marines who each had multiple helpings even though there was plenty of ham and mashed potatoes on the table, also. :)
