This is my favorite recipe EVER!! Seriously, I love holidays and am always looking for cute ideas for parties. I used these for Halloween this year and everyone LOVED them!! So easy and cute and my gluten-free daughter could eat them, too! I cheated a little and used little candy eyeballs from Michael's and then drew mouths. Absolutely awesome!! Everyone at my office still asks for them and it's no longer Halloween...

Fun to make, easy, tasty, and a big hit at the bake sale!

This was so much fun and I did it alone! I can only imagine how much fun it would be with a child to share it with. They turned out adorable, just like the picture and took no time at all!

These looked awesome on the table for my daughter's Halloween party and were a big hit. I did not use the almond extract, and I used the candy making wafers. My daughter made these by herself. The mouths were a little tricky, but the more she did, the easier it became. Definitely will be making again next year.

I made lots of these and took one platter to my Zumba class and another to my husband's place of work. They were a hit both places! I must say I did struggle with the regular white chocolate. It seemed that some of the moisture from the strawberries made it set up and I didn't add the almond extract and did let the berries sit on paper towels for several hours to drain before dipping. I finally ended up buying almond bark which worked much better. I also struggled making the little mouths so I melted the chocolate chips in a baggie and then snipped the corner and piped the mouths on and that worked great.

I made this recipe for the Halloween party my kids were having. They were so easy to make and yet were so impressive looking! I agree that the mouths were a little tricky to get "perfect" but I think that made them all the more interesting. The kids said, "They are too cute to eat!" Would definitely make again.

I completely skipped the extract and it worked great. The first time I tried just white chips - they will setup and not work! I used almond bark as well and it worked just great!

Everyone loved it last night. I'm not a fan of almonds so I used peppermint extract, which tasted great.

These were a big hit at last night's Halloween party. They were the first 'goodie' that was gone. Easy to make, great eye appeal and tasty.

I use almond bark as well, it's cheaper then baking chocolate & it tastes great. DO NOT use the extract!! The only way you can add flavoring is if it is oil based, otherwise your chocolate (or bark) will seize. Have fun!

I loved this recipe. I also made the mistake of using the almond extract and when I mixed it up it would not stay at the melted consistency. I would defintely make these again. I haven't mastered drawing the mouth yet but practice makes perfect. Would like to see other things that can be made with the chocolate.

Two years I've made these, and they are quite popular - I give them as gifts to friends. I haven't mastered the art of drawing the mouth with chocolate, and wonder what tricks there are to doing that. Be very picky with your strawberries, since one that isn't quite ripe will detract significantly from the taste.

I have made these for my son's class for the last 3 years and they are always a hit! It is very important that your strawberries are completely dry before you dip them in the chocolate!!

Made these for a finger food potluck Halloween party last year. People lined up to first take pictures, then not a single one was left. They were a fantastic hit along with the marshmallow witches!

We call it Almond Bark here in Missouri, and its already flavored with almonds so No don''t add any to Bark or Chips while melting. I use double boiler on low with just the Almond Bark. These are wonderful. I prefer to add some almond slivers for some added protein. I lay 3 or 4 down then put strawberry on top. Enjoy! I Sure Will!

P.S. I use both the white and the dark baking squares to make the little tuxedos for Christmas and wedding showers. Everyone loves them!
This is in answer to bootsmamma. What you are describing is coating bark. If you look up on the shelf with the chips you will see small 6-ounce boxes of Bakers' Premium White Chocolate Baking Squares. They melt beautifully and taste fabulous. That is what is called for in this recipe. You won't have any problems if you use these. They also come in an 8-ounce box of dark chocolate.

I just made these, they are so cute. I need to know - what exactly is "white baking chocolate"...is that the white bark in the rectangle packages that looks like big ice cubes - or can you use the white baking chips that are like the chocolate chips? I used the white baking chips. I did learn one thing - do not use the extract - it caused the melted chips to become one big glob of a mess - no amount of microwaving it would return it to its previous melted state. I had to use another bag of chips - did not put the extract in it and it stayed in the melted state. Just letting you know. I would appreciate knowing about the white baking chocolate...This is a really great recipie - I am going to enjoy making it 5-6 more times before Halloween actually gets here.

Make sure that the strawberries are at room temperature. I did not do this and the choc would not stick. The kids ate them anyway
