100% would make again

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe, which I lightened up by using less milk, reduced-fat whipped topping and angel food cake instead of pound cake. It's good made with fresh peaches or blueberries, too. —Pamela Gainer of Sand Ridge, West Virginia

I carried this to a party tonight and it was a big hit. My son was disappointed because there was only a spoonful left over for him. I'll be making it again next week.

I used fat free sweetened condensed milk and fat free cool whip.

You could use fat free sweetened condensed milk as well.

Instead of fresh strawberries, I used the frozen. Thaw in micro-wave and layer with other layers. Just before topping with whipped topping I pour a cup of hot strawberry jello over top. The jello along with juice form the frozen strawberries sinks into the angel food cake and makes it delicious! :-) We call this our Christmas Trifle, b/c I make it every Christmas!
