Spicy Potato Soup Recipe

This recipe originally came courtesy of my sister-in-law, who is from Mexico. But since she prefers her foods much spicier that we do, I've cut back on the "heat" by reducing the amount of hot pepper sauce.— Audrey Wall, Industry, Pennsylvania

We love this recipe. I've been making this since it first came out in 'Taste Of Home' several years ago. Sometimes I add a little cabbage to it but the basic recipe is great by itself (I add a little extra hot sauce to mine).

This recipe rates as one of those family meals that everyone is excited about when they know this is being served. Our 29 year old still requests this for his BD dinner!!

This is a great recipe. My daughter and I love this soup. I didn't change a thing.

Sorry, but this was a disappointment. I guess I should have known it would taste like ground beef, potatoes and tomato sauce with hot pepper sauce for heat.

Everyone in my family loves this soup. It is very flavorful, even though I don't add the hot sauce, it still tastes great!

Great, simple and fast! I find it to be not heavy and goes great with a grilled cheese or cornbread. I have shared this recipe with many people who loved it also.

I have been making this for years, but now substitute a 24-oz jar of medium salsa instead of the tomato sauce and hot sauce. You can substitue all or part of the tomato sauce, depending upon your taste.

This is a nice, chili-style soup to warm your belly during the winter months.

This is our favorite soup. Sometimes I add corn and green beans for a change. It is so easy to make and even your pickiest eaters should enjoy this as there is nothing in it that most kids won't eat.
