Spiced Lemonade

6 cups water, divided
3/4 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
1 large lime, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Ice cubes

In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups water, sugar, cinnamon and cloves to
a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat; discard

Spiced Lemonade cont.

lime, lemon, lemon juice and remaining water. Chill at least 1 hour.
Serve in chilled glass over ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick if
desired. Can also be served warm.

Yield: about 2 quarts.
