This recipe is very popular here in the South. It's a particular favorite at our house because we always have plenty of sweet potatoes in our garden. Try it with a dollop of whipped cream. —Bonnie Holcomb, Fulton, Mississippi

Great recipe! My husband LOVED it, and he doesn't like pies in general. I did omit the nutmeg but instead added 1/2 t allspice and 1 t cinnamon. Really good! I like the reviewer's idea about rum extract. I will try that in the next pie. Definitely a keeper!

It was a easy pie to make. A little sweet to me but for my first sweet potato pie it was good. I'm sure I'll make it again. It was well liked by family.
