I love pork chops enough to eat 'em 3 times a day. This recipe carried me to a new level. Is total ecstacy too strong a phrase?

This was an easy to make dish that my kids just loved. We all took turns mashing the potatoes which really gave them an appreciation for home cooking. They thought the best part was the root beer that I allowed them to drink with dinner, which was a rare treat in our house!!

Delicious! Followed the recipe exactly but had boneless chops on hand so used them instead of the bone-in. It was perfect... wouldn't change a thing.

This was a big hit with my husband; however, I think next time I would do less ketchup. For me, it was just a bit too much.

Made this last night for my hubby and we loved it! (I did the potatoes a bit differently using sour cream.) The chop sauce was wonderful! I think next time I'll add a smidge more chili powder. But my husband remarked that the recipe is a "keeper." I, indeed, agreed!

As I was reading through this recipe....I thought...yum....this would be good on chicken...we don't care much for pork...so tonight I tried it on chicken...it was wonderful....I did change it a little.....I added a little more rootbeer....and I used 1 teaspoon taco seasoning instead of the chili powder...also after i reduced the sauce....I spreaded it over the chicken and broiled it for about 5 min...wasn't sure if my husband would like it....as he generally doesn't like a lot of sauce on things...but he seemed to really enjoy this :) ....I didn't see him scrape any of the sauce off....thank you so much for sharing this recipe....and I too, am going to try it on the grill....this is a keeper..

We thought this was great. Leftovers are even better. The sauce would be great on grilled chicken. I am passing this one on!
