I made this cake for my book club dessert and served it with ice cream. Everyone raved about it. It was delicious and there was nothing left! I will definitely make this recipe again.

Absolutely delicious! The cake layer is moist, and the lava layer forms perfectly on the bottom. I cooked it on high for 3 hours. It's so good, my grandson picked it for his birthday dessert.

Super easy and very tasty. Next time I'm going to try it with white chocolate chips to see how that turns out.

Tried this tonight. Used a 3qt crock pot and it seemed to work fine. Was done after 3 hours (although we haven't gotten to the bottom yet). Delicious, moist, and wonderful.

Excellent cake, very easy and extremely tasty. Combine it all and forget it for 3 hours. This one's a keeper!

Very yummy! My chocoholic hubby ate two bowls of it. I didn't have pudding mix so I added cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and cornstarch to the 2 cups of milk and whipped it. The cake was totally set and had molten chocolate pockets, too. Seemed to have worked just fine! :)

Can't wait to try the recipe. If I use a 3 quart crockpot, can you tell me if it works just as well and how much longer to cook it? Also...is it possible to cook it on low longer? If so, any idea how long? Want to take this for work soon for a morning treat.

This cake is wonderful! I didn't have a devil's food cake mix, so I used a triple fudge cake mix. I also used instant vanilla pudding - I was going to call it Zebra cake. However, there was no evidence of the vanilla pudding when I served it - everything looked chocolatey. Definitely will make this again!

I served this dessert for a holiday luncheon I hosted and it was a great hit with all my friends. Several asked for the recipe. Best served warm right out of the slow cooker but is also good later as a leftover heated up in the microwave. I served it with a dollop of whipped topping.

Delicious! Easy to make! We served ice cream and chocolate sauce with it. Adding raspberries next time!

So easy to make, it was great! I had a bigger crock pot so the cook time was much less. All comments from guests said that Ice Cream is a Must with this cake!

This Lava cake is amazing! Easy and delicious! I have made a pudding cake just like it from scratch ... this tastes just as good with half the prep time. This cake tastes best eaten immediately, although it is still good heated up.
