A comforting dessert like this is a superb treat on a chilly night. Since the pudding is made in a slow cooker, it does not require any attention from you, so it's great when entertaining. It separates into three layersapples, cake and sauce‡#151; and I like to serve it in a bowl.Ellen Schroeder, Reedsburg, Wisconsin

Delcious! Light and not very sweet--just right after a big dinner. Ellie

Made this for a fall food day at work. It was a huge hit! The entire crockpot was scraped clean within 15 minutes and before people started eating lunch! Had lots of requests from people for the recipe and know that at least 2 people made it and also got rave reviews.

This is a wonderful dessert!! My husband is a diabetic so I always change the recipes a little: I did use more apples (about 6) and only 1/4c of sugar. I also used Sugar free maple syrup instead of honey and one box of sugar free strawberry jello (2 c water) + 2 tsp. cinnamon. It was just fabulous and I will serve this as one of my desserts for the next buffet or church function, since it can be kept warm right in the slow cooker.......really great dessert either way.

This recipe is definitely a keeper! I usually make a dish exactly according to the recipe the first time, but after I had already followed directions as far as putting the apples in the crockpot, I discovered I had no orange juice. Rather than running to the store, I substituted cranberry juice. At any rate, this dessert was delicious and I highly recommend it.

This recipe was very, very good. I loved that the apple pudding was in my slow cooker,(I didn't have to worry about getting desert out of the oven in time) while I was enjoying my thanksgiving meal with my family and guests. This recipe was really easy and quick to do. EVERYBODY loved it, from the ages of 9 to 73! My mother even asked for the recipe. I will surely do this recipe again, it's a keeper! Thank you Ellen :)
