This bread is always a big hit with my family who insists that cheese should be its own food group! It's great paired with soups or anything with a sauce that can be used for dipping.

My son's best friend would frequently drop by after his football practices and stay for dinner. I often served this bread withsoup. Tom made sure IF there was any bread leftover that it went home with him for a study snack.

This is one of my favorite appetizer recipes! It is so good! I use whatever cheese I have on hand--cheddar, Colby/Jack, Mozzarella. If I don't have a chunk to slice, I just use shredded and it works well, too.

Simply Awesome! This bread was so addictive. I added a little more butter, another cup of cheese (stuffing it both inside the slits and over the top), and left off the poppy seeds, and yet, it was still totally awesome. It was a great Super Bowl snack to say the least.

When you read the recipe it's hard to envision just how good this bread is. It's so simple- but it is wonderfully delicious and guests LOVE it. I made mine with a mix of Colby-jack and sharp white cheddar cheese and I substituted sesame seeds, as I had them on hand. People were requesting the recipe as they were leaving- this bread is that good!

This is a very tasty twist on just serving up bread. I found however, that it's rather messy to eat. The ladies lunch that I used it for was a little too tidy of an affair for people to dig into the loaf with their fingers and tear off pieces. When the teenagers arrived, however, they polished it off in no time. So, I would make it again for a more casual setting. I didn't have an electric bread knife, but I found freezing the loaf ahead and then cutting into in when it's not completely thawed out makes nice clean cuts as well.

This is so simple and so good. Problem once you make or eat this you will want it again soon. I have made a half loaf for my husband and me. I have also made it with pepperjack cheese. Delicious

I usually have to make two loaves for a party because the first one is gone so quickly! A great twist is using just garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. YUM!

Making it for the first time, I bought a half lb loaf of tuscan bread and followed directions exactly (cutting amounts in half, of course)exc for omitting poppy seeds - rave reviews! Used less cheese, but put it in every cut section. Excellent and SO easy!

This is a great appetizer for teenagers and adults. I had to ask the baker at our local grocery store for an uncut round loaf. Great mix of flavors and colorful too! A must try!

Oh my goodness! I have made this recipe 3 times now and the last time I made it for our family Christmas appetizer dinner. I had to literally keep hands out of it before it was time to serve! I eliminate the poppy seeds and add minced garlic to the butter mixture and use pepper jack cheese. AWESOME! I would highly reccommend using an electric knife as that is MUCH easier. Thanks so much for the great recipe!
