No one would guess that these moist chicken breasts and tender potatoes are seasoned with herb- and garlic-flavored soup mix. The meal-in-one is simple to assemble, and it all bakes in one dish so there's little cleanup. -Leslie Adams Springfield, Missouri

This was pretty disgusting. It smelled delicious while baking. A big letdown. And even though I cubed the potatoes some didn't cook all the way thru.

TEACH*MUSIC, could you please tell me where you found the soup mix, My Mom used to make this, the co. said it no longer makes it, I live in Sacramento, help can use info, from any one. My sister and I would love to make this for the grand children. Thanks

Outstanding! One of my all time favorites & a regular. Super easy, didn't have a hard time finding the soup mix (comes in a box with 2 packages). I only use 1 package, to cut down on sodium. Great with green beans!

I found the savory herb with garlic soup mix at my Wal-Mart. This is a simple, tasty dish that I will make again. I too, I had trouble getting the potatoes to cook all the way during the specified time and I had thought they were cubed small enough, but next I'll make sure to cube them very small.

I thought this was very tasty, however, the recipe card I have from a magazine only calls for 1 envelope soup mix and 3 T water. I think 2 envelopes and 6 T water would have made it better because as I made it, only the chicken got a real good coating. Also, even though I cubed the potatoes, they weren't cooked enough so next time I'm going to microwave the potatoes for 5 min. before I add them to the baking dish. And for those of you who couldn't find the Lipton savory garlic and herb, try Stater Bros. I find everthing I need there.

I also couldn't find the Herb & Garlic soup mix, which I found online was supposed to be Lipton. Apparently they don't sell it much in stores, so you can buy a case on Amazon, but sometimes it's nice to try something first in the store to see if you like it. I substituted 2 packets of Herb & Garlic Sauce Mix, which wasn't a good substitute, along with some seasoned bread crumbs. The chicken took an extra 15 min. to cook, and the potatoes I had to cook in the microwave for at least 10 more minutes and they were still hard. It looks beautiful in the photo, but I found the taste wasn't quite what I expected as no store within 30+ miles carries this product from my town in Oregon.

This is a keeper. I have not found the savory herb w. garlic soup mix in my area yet, so I bought Lipton Onion Soup mix and added 1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Blend. The marinade is more properly a liquid coating. I had it in the bag while I mixed the veg., then put the chicken in the pan and added the veg-just like the directions say. I had to bake the dish another 15 minutes for the chicken to be done. Smelled wonderful and was good eating!

How long do you leave the chicken, etc in the marinade? Are you just coating the items?ams
