Ingredients

  • 5 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  • In a large skillet, saute apples in butter for 1 minute. Add water; bring to a boil. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until apples are tender. Yield: 4 servings.

Nutrition Facts: 1 serving (1 cup) equals 276 calories, 12 g fat (7 g saturated fat), 31 mg cholesterol, 116 mg sodium, 46 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, trace protein.
