TIME: Prep: 10 min. Cook: 20 min. + standing

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1-3/4 cups water, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup uncooked fine egg noodles
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pinch sugar
  • 1/2 pound fully cooked turkey kielbasa, halved lengthwise and sliced

Directions:

In a 3-qt. microwave-safe dish, combine the onion, celery, 1/4 cup water and garlic powder. Cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
    Stir in the tomatoes, noodles, cabbage, bouillon, basil, oregano, sugar and remaining water. Cover and microwave on high for 11-13 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring twice. Add sausage; cook 2 minutes longer. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Yield: 4 servings.
