Kay Nichols Wellsburg, West Virginia Warm your body and spirit with this comforting chowder. I love sausage and sweet corn, so I put them together, and voila! This is a great soup to serve on a chilly day, along with piping hot homemade biscuits.

Very flavorful--probably even better today. I used fat free milk, and am sure it would be even better with whole milk

I tried this for the first time tonight, and we loved it. I added some diced carrots and doubled the recipe. Good thing I did because I don't think we would have had any leftovers.

This was delicious! I made a few substitutes/additions, but nothing major and I'm sure it would be just as awesome if it was made to-the-recipe: I used Jimmy Dean Italian sausage instead of sage-flavored, Idaho potatoes instead of red, added more pepper than called for and also threw in come Chipotle Chili Powder for an extra kick. I sprinkled a little sharp cheddar cheese on top of each serving once it was in the bowl--yum! I doubled the recipe--the leftovers are fantastic! I'll definitely be making this again!

Great recipe. Used Jimmy Dean hot sausage and it was wonderful. No leftovers on this recipe, so I'll have to double next time.

This was excellent. I used Jimmy Dean sage sausage, and added carrots in with the celery and onions. I also doubled the recipe and the leftovers were even better.
