Sausage Cheese Bites Snack Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild bulk pork sausage
  • 4 cups biscuit/baking mix
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • In a large bowl, combine baking mix and cheese. Add the sausage and stir until well blended. Stir in water just until mixed. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls.
  • Place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 16 servings.

Nutritional Analysis: 3 pieces equals 230 calories, 14 g fat (6 g saturated fat), 25 mg cholesterol, 579 mg sodium, 19 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 7 g protein.
