Saucy Chicken Thighs Recipe

Saucy Chicken Thighs Recipe Saucy Chicken Thighs Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

Everyone raves about how sweet the sauce is for these slow-cooked chicken thighs. They’re such a breeze because they simmer away while you do other things. They’re ideal appetizers, but you can also add your favorite side for a nice meal. –Kim Puckett, Reagan, Tennessee

Have made this recipe many times....always well received. Great when you might be expecting more folks for dinner. Every since we first tried this I always use this recipe anytime I use bbq sauce...was awesome on ribs.

This was fall off the bone moist and tasted very good. I would definitely make this again. II didn't need 9 pieces so I cut the recipe down to 4 pieces and used half of the recipes ingredients for the sauce. I also browned both sides of the thighs in a fry pan before cooking this in the oven on 350 for 30 min and then turning it down to 170 and keeping it warm in a 3 quart covered pan for about 1 hour until I was ready to serve dinner. My husband doesn't usually like BBQ chicken but we both enjoyed this very much. Thank you for restoring his faith in BBQ chicken.

I fix this recipe often. It is so easy and SO GOOD!!!!! I use different chicken pieces if I don't have thighs, and they work just as well.

I made this with chicken breasts( skin and bone on) that were browned in crock pot and then because they are dryer than the thighs I left the cooking juices in. They were sooo good. Everyone raved. Gonna make it with the thighs tonight

My family loves this! Another reviewer said it had no flavor? I don't understand that, it has great flavor--maybe it depends on the brand of BBQ sauce one uses. It's simple to prepare and is great for busy days when we can't all sit down together, and everyone can just pick their serving out of the pot. I've also taken it to potlucks and have gotten rave reviews. It's so easy to prepare--a definite winner in my book! (Oh and I've used it with wings for a really great hot hors d'oeuvres!).

Really flavorful. Great for a weekend supper. I served these tonight with sauteed squash and mushrroms and a garden salad. I followed the recipe except for browning on the stove first rather than broiling. My whole family enjoyed these. I love good slow cooker recipes.

I really didn't like this. There was really no flavor. I didn't add to much hot sauce. But that is all I tasted.
