Saltine Toffee Bark Recipe

Get ready for a new family favorite—like brittle, but better. Pack pieces of sweet-and-salty treasures in decorated cardboard gift tubes or recycled oatmeal containers wrapped with decorative paper (or use scraps of self-adhesive wallpaper). Trim with green pompom fringe. Make it fun by adding a bow made from newspaper. —Laura Cox, Brewster, Massachusetts

Very good and easy. My mom and I both made it with Club crackers instead of saltines (we had Club crackers). It is very addicting.

Smashed up candy canes or peanut brittle are much less expensive than english toffee bits and just as tasty!

I usually make toffee every Christmas and when I went to pull up the recipe, this popped up. I had everything in the pantry to make it, so I thought I would try it. Well, it is wonderful!! I will definitely be making this instead this year. Toffee is easy, but this is easier and just as tasty. I also made a batch tonight but used white chocolate chips and Christmas sprinkles. It is just as rich and yummy. I like the toffee bits better, but this is so festive with the white chocolate and sprinkles.

Super-easy and salty-sweet! My family loves it. I look forward to giving it as gifts (it's too addictive to keep in the house!). Instead of buying a bag of Heath bits I ground up some homemade toffee we had lying around and that worked fine.

I made this yesterday- it's gone. No one can believe it uses saltines. We are making another batch today- simple, fast, a keeper
