I used frozen Italian meatballs and it was very good.

We made 1/2 the recipe and tweaked it somewhat. For the noodles we used "No Yokes." We also added about 6 or 7 sliced button mushrooms as well as two tablespoons dry red wine. It turned out well. Next time we might add a little more brown sugar. The sweetness was very subdued (probably a result of our additions).

This is very similar to what I make from time to time. I use whole wheat noodles, and turkey meatballs from Trader Joe's. If Janma lives nearby a TJ's, try these meatballs. I love them. They also have regular beef meatballs also.

This recipe lends itself well to a single serving by using only a few meatballs and half a jar of gravy. Mushroom gravy and a llittle red wine are also good add-ins.

The purchased meatballs were terrible. Any sugestions of a good brand? At 83 I still make as much as I can from schratch but once in a while I would like a quicker solution.

Nice change of paste, but I did modify it somewhat. I made my own beef gravy with low sodium beef broth also add saute fresh mushroom =^..^=

Simple and tasty! We only used one 18 oz jar of gravy and it was just enough.

A nice twist on meatballs and gravy... I used two packets of brown gravy mix so I didn't end up with as much gravy as I would have if I'd used the beef gravy - therefore, it was a bit sweeter than we would have liked. Next time, I will either use the 2 jars of beef gravy, or use at least 3 packets of the brown gravy. This was a very nice meal served with the zucchini and tomatoes pictured above and in the magazine.

Simple to make, and a huge hit! My husband loved this recipe and was glad I got this one from a recipe so he'll be able to enjoy it again.
