Takes longer than recipe stated to firm up. The chocolate overwhelmed the rest of the flavors.

This is one of my favorite pudding pie recipes. I have made it many times following the recipe exactly and have had no trouble whatsoever getting it to set up. It cut beautifully. The flavors really blend well. I especially like to make this on a hot day when I don't want to turn on the oven.

To make the pie stiffer, use less milk. Mine was too mushy.

I have made this pie several times, I love it, my husband and his brother would prefer it without the chocolate pudding (are you kiddine me)/easy to make, but be sure you use the INSTANT IN ALL. Thanks, Lynne

Earlier I posted a comment about the pie slices falling apart. At that time it had set up for over an hour. About 6 hours later I went to cut a piece of the pie and found it had set up very nicely. Just takes awhile to set up. The pie is easy to make and tastes great.
I made this pie to share with another diabetic friend. tasted good but appearance was poor. When i tried to serve it each piece fell apart. I think it would be better in parfait glasses .

The flavors were great. The only problem I had was that it did not set up real well. I'm thinking of freezing it for a bit before it's cut because it seems to run a bit when it's cut.

this was very good. it sure didnt jast long in my house ,hubby and son made short work out of it. lol the butterscotch made the the pie. i will definitely make this again!!!! :)

I did make the Ribbon Pudding Pie, and hubby loved it, especially the chocolate, the vanilla and the chocolate were very good together. I did not put the butterscotch in, as I thought the other 2 would be good and it was. Will definitely make again.

This receipe was not only easy, it was DELICIOUS! I was a little concerned about using the unsweetened pudding mixes, but it honestly didn't taste unsweet at all! But yet not too sweet...it was light and delicious.

Had a lot of fun making this for friends...one a diabetic and the other on a diet. I did add some vanilla to the vanilla pudding and some dark cho chips to the cho pudding...but all in all it was a great success!!

This was very rasy to make. The only problem I had was getting it to set-up & come out of the pan . There is no way my pie looked like the one in the picture. Mine was just a blob.

The taste and ease of preparation were great, but I couldn't get the darn thing to set up! When I cut it after chilling, everything just collapsed into a big, gloppy mess.

Love this recipe! Had a time layering the pudding. One layer on top, ran to the center of the lower layer. Otherwise, it was great. My family doesn't like nuts so, we substituted with Heath Bar Bits. This dessert will make a "regular showing" at our house!Dave O.

Light and delicious. Marvelous desert for diabetics. My 9year old grand daughter made this for our family dinner and was very proud of herself. This is easily a five star desert and a new favorite for our family. I would love more desert like this one. Thanks for sharingKamal

Try layering this without the graham cracker crust to cut down on the carbs.

I would put it in a larger dish and cut it smaller. This would reduce the carbs per piece.

Are you talking Type I or Type II? Cheerios has 29g without milk. Oatmeal has 20g+g without milk. All in moderation.

anything with that many carbs is not good for someone with diabetis. carbs turn to sugar in your body. so i would'nt advise you eat this as stated. i would not put it in a crust, but leave it layered without it.
