Refreshing Cosmopolitan Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ice cubes
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
  • GARNISH:
  • Fresh cranberries and lime wedge

Directions

  • Fill a shaker three-fourths full with ice. Add the vodka, juices and Triple Sec. Cover and shake for 10-15 seconds or until condensation forms on outside of shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish as desired. Yield: 1 serving.

I make these all the time. The trick is to using pure cranberry juice. You can find it at the health food stores.

I use a little less cranberry juice or substitute cranberry pomagranate or cran raspberry and use contreau instead of triple sec. 100% juices are much better than the juice cocktail blends for this. Garnish with a lime, lemon twist or add a touch of fresh lime juice
