This cake is one of my grandfather's favorites. And it seems like he always knows when you're making ithe must have a keen sense of smell! The recipe was passed down through the generations beginning with my great-grandmother. Sometimes I can imagine her making it all those years ago.

Eggs?? Eggs are not even listed in this recipe....Perhaps this recipe needs a rewrite....

It's right in the directions - you add it with the sugar and oil after beating the eggs. In a bowl, beat egg substitute for 1 minute on medium speed. Add the applesauce, sugar and oil; mix well. Combine the dry ingredients; add to applesauce mixture and mix well. Stir in raisins and walnuts.

Very tastey . Recipe need to stat when to add applesauce . This was left out.
