I like to make this dish when time before supper is short. It serves two to three people, but if we have unexpected company I double the ingredients and use a 9-in. x 13-in. pan. The I call it my "Please Stay Casserole"!

I adjusted this a bit to accommodate what I had on hand. In a skillet I cooked carrots and cut up pearl onions. Then  I added in minced garlic clove and 1 cup of cooked beef tenderloin from a previous meal, cooking until the carrots were tender.  I followed the rest of the directions as written. What a dish, my kids loved it.

My family loves it! I found this recipe when searching for easy meals to prepare following surgery. Not only is this simple to make, it's better than the traditional tater tot casserole. I have used cheddar cheese and cream of chicken in place of the cream of mushroom. Both are great.

I used cream of celery soup and it was good for a quick supper when I didn't feel like cooking.

This was okay, but nothing fancy. I'm sure it'd be a big hit with children, though! It is certainly easy to make, and if you have the ingredients on hand, it's quick and hearty fare. I thought it could have used a bit more in the flavor department, but as I said, it wasn't bad.

This is a wonderful recipe! I've tried it with the cream of mushroom, which is great-but I've also switched it up and tried it with cream of chicken. It sounds strange, but I actually love the flavor of the cream of chicken the most. Absolutely amazing!

This was so good. Didnt have cream of mushroom, so i used golden mushroom soup. Also added fresh spinach in to make it a little healthy. Kids couldnt even taste it. Im gonna make again in a few days!

Wow! How can something so easy be so good?! I doubled the recipe, partially thawed the tater tots, and baked it for 1 hour, with adding the cheese after the first 15 minutes of baking. Yum! -Lori in WI.

I use the cheese soup from Campbells instead of the cream of mushroom. I don't add cheese to the top either. Fewer calories w/ the same great taste.

This is easy to make and delicious! I substitute Soy Beef Crumbles (Morningstar Farms or Boca makes them) to make it vegetarian, and I sprinkle chili powder on top of the tots before I put the cheese on for a kick. Delish!
