Quick Cranberry Chip Cookies
I received these delightful cookies for Christmas a few years ago. I was watching my diet, but I couldn't stay away from them! The tart cranberries blend beautifully with the sweet chocolate and vanilla chips. —Jo Ann McCarthy, Canton, Massachusetts

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup white baking chips
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening
and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking
soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in the chips, cranberries and pecans.
Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake
9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes before removing
to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 6 dozen.
