This unique chili freezes well…but it still doesn't last around our farmhouse very long, especially when my five children and 13 grandchildren are around! —Betty Butler, Greencastle, Indiana

This was delicious. I made substitutions and it was still great. I used 1 pound 10 oz ground turkey because that's how much I had. 1 can of 10 oz tomatoes because I didn't have condensed soup. 1 bottle chili sauce. 1 can hot and 1 can mild chili beans as another reviewer suggested. Added a chopped up carrot to use up extra veggies I had. And I used 1/4 brown sugar plus added a clove of garlic. This was absolutely delicious.

I think this is the first time I've ever made chili. Not being one who craves "spicy", I used mild beans and instead of a tsp of white sugar, I used about 1/3 cup of brown sugar. It's just the right blend. I might not add a whole tsp of pepper next time, but the amount in the recipe adds flavor with a bit of a mild kick. I think next time, I will add the whole can of pumpkin for even more flavor, rather than dump the remainder down the disposal. Thanks for the recipe! Can't wait to top it off with a little cheese!

WONDERFUL chili! I made it for a work potluck and it was gone before most people could try it. It also won me first place in the work potluck. I will definitely make again in the future. I usually don't even make chili in this big of a batch, but I should have made more!

This is a five star chili! I made it for a church event and it won the chili cook off. More recently, my wife entered it in her work chili cook off, and she also won! We are two for two with this chili, thank you very much. Everyone asks for the recipe, or where I got it, and I tell them from the Taste of Home website.

This makes a load of chili! I used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground pork. I really enjoyed the flavors. I did half the chili powder as I am not too fond of spicy. I also just tossed the whole can of pumpkin in. It adds a lovely richness! I just had to try the recipe as it was such an odd list of ingredients lol... what a winner!!!

This is a quick recipe using convenience foods. I changed the beef to ground turkey and omitted the salt. I liked the spicy taste.

Took this chile to a local chili cook of and won 1st prize!! The only thing I chaced was to use 1 can of mild chili beans and 1 of hot instead of 2 hot. It's a keeper!

I first made this chili recipe two years ago. It is delicious! One of our sons doesn't like chili, but he loves this one. I have had several requests for the recipe. It's wonderful with homemade cornbread on a cold fall or winter night.

Everyone in my house loves this chili! I can't make it enough or make enough of it!

Yum! This is an autumnal (and other seasons) favorite. Whenever I bring this to the home kitchen table or to potluck gatherings, it is gone quickly! I made it just as stated and would not change a thing. As a go-along, I try variations of cornbread. All four of my daughters have this recipe and have also received raving reviews for chili 'well done'. I always like to play the game of Guess the Secret Ingredient to new tasters. When the answer is revealed, its a surprise, but explains the touch of sweetness.

This Chili has a unique taste. Four out of five family members liked it. It was easy to make, and perfect for a cool fall day.

I just wasted my money on spices and ground beef to make something that tastes like pumpkin and vinegar. If i'm lucky the ants will eat it because I will not.Stick to tradional chili.

This Chili has started a new Halloween Eve tradition for my husband and I...it's wonderful and can be made ahead and kept warm.

This was a quick, inexpensive and delicious recipe. My husband said, "I never would have thought I'd like this.", but he did!

This chili was amazing! I will probably only make this kind from now on! I was worried it would be too sweet but it was actually just a perfect mix of sweet and hot.

This has quickly become a family favorite! My picky children who typically don't care for chili love the combination of flavors and frequently request this for dinner!

Happened across this recipe linked from a blog I was following and decided to whip it up. I made some minor adjustments for tasted, but mostly followed the recipe. Everyone who ate it gave it great review.

The blog that linked it suggested using Kielbasa sausage instead of turkey cuts (seemed odd), and it worked out great. I also cut the broth to 2 cups because I wanted it less soupy and it worked well for that. Also added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes for some added heat. Spot on perfect.

Next time I might try using a ground turkey sausage for meat, and maybe add some corn to the mix.

Quick and easy recipe to enjoy - have at it!

I couldn't find regular chili sauce so I used sweet chili sauce only 1 bottle and added 3T chili powder, omitted the sugar and added 2C. pumpkin. This was so good I am planning on taking it to my works chili cook-off!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. Used many times and always turns out perfect. I never have any leftovers and always get rave reviews when I take to chili cookoffs or church potlucks. I don't add the sugar and use ground turkey instead of ground beef.

my mistake to use a whole can of pumpkin, also I found it too sweet, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like this even if I used 1/2 cup of pumpkin. I'm not sure what I will do with all the left overs. Not good.
