Pumpkin Cheese Ball Recipe

Prep: 20 min. + chilling

Yield: 20 Servings

Ingredients

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 carton (8 ounces) spreadable chive and onion cream cheese
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 celery rib or broccoli stalk
Sliced apples and assorted crackers

Directions

In a small bowl, beat cream cheeses until smooth. Stir in the cheddar cheese, paprika and cayenne. Shape into a ball; wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.
With a knife, add vertical lines to the cheese ball to resemble a pumpkin; insert a celery rib or broccoli stalk for the stem. Serve with apples and crackers. Yield: 2-1/2 cups.

I just made this cheese ball for the first time for a church function. I simple shaped it into a ball as opposed to the pumpkin shape (though it's a cute idea). Several folks asked for a copy of the recipe as it was a huge hit. it was very delicious, and I'll definitely be making this again! Yummy!

This is a family favorite. Great for any big get together. My mom made it as a Thanksgiving appetizer a few years ago and now it is a staple.

This appetizer is delicious and festive all rolled up in a ball. Tip for making the pumpkin shape - cover with plastic wrap and shape in to ball. Wrap 4 rubber bands around ball. Regrigerate but periodically take out cheese ball and tug on rubber bands to score the ball.

My cousin brought this to our Thanksgiving feast, and honestly I ate more of this cheese ball than anything else! It is so delicious, I had to sneak some home with me. I will definitely make this cheese ball for future potlucks!

I made this last year and I am making it again this year. It is rather easy and tastes great! The cayenne pepper gives it a tiny kick, mild enough for kids! Fun & easy!

I made this for Halloween last year. It was a huge hit. It was easy to make and festive. Great with wheat crackers. It was such a hit it's already been requested for the party this year.
