Our kids had a great time putting together this cute creation for a Cub Scout cake auction. Using a boxed cake mix made preparation of the crust fast and easy.—Caroline Simzisko, Cordova, Tennessee

Good for a laugh, didn't trick anyone. The frosting was pink, couldn't get it to go red! A bit fiddly cutting the super sticky fruit roll-ups! Use high quality white chocolate if you want curls, i used cheap stuff & it ended up looking more like white powder! Keep the finished cake cool until you need it, otherwise chocolate melts into the frosting & disapears! Tastes good, made everyone laugh!

My sons birthday is on April Fool's Day and this made a great fun cake for him, he even helped make it. We added chopped up gum drops to simulate veggies. (purple-black olives, green, red, and yellow-bell peppers.) Turned out great.

Made this for the Cub Scout banquet for auction and it was a hit. Add green swedish fish for anchovies, halved Ferrero Rocher chocolates for meatballs and we had a great looking dessert pizza!

We are holding a cake auction at our High School for a fund raiser for the After Prom event. I am not an experienced cake maker, but these were simple and just really cute. Tomorrow is the superbowl, so I thought the pizza cakes were a good idea. One thing to remember is that, if there's time between finishing the cakes and serving them or bringing them to where you want to be, keep them cool. The chocolate will melt otherwise. Very good idea. Thanks!

I loved the ideas here for April Fool's Day recipes. It inspired me to make a couple tonight for supper. This was one. I didn't have the white chocolate, but used large-flake coconut instead which worked well as a "grated cheese." Be sure you cut the "pepperoni's" small enough; mine were kind of big and didn't look as good as the picture. But the whole thing was a hit! Thanks for the idea.

This was funny. for April Fool's dinner we had this "pizza" for dessert and for dinner we had the pizza that looks like a cake from this website. It made for a fun April Fool's evening. I never quite got the frosting red, after so much red gel it was still pink, so I just kept it pink. I read one website where someone used seedless strawberry jam for the "sauce" and rolled and cut gumdrops for olives, peppers, and onions. Not as realistic as the cake pizza, but just as amusing.
