Picante Black Bean Hummus Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • Pepperidge Farm® Baked Naturals™ Toasted Wheat Crisps

Directions

  • Place the beans, picante sauce, lime juice and lime zest into a food processor or blender. Cover and process until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Serve the bean mixture with the crisps for dipping. Yield: 12 servings.

    Make-Ahead: You can serve this dip immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • Serving Suggestion: You can also serve assorted cut-up fresh vegetables (carrots, red, green and/or yellow peppers, celery) with this dip

Instead of using this as just a dip I used it instead of refried beans in my mexican layer dip. Had really nice flavor.
