I started making these when I found them in the Taste Of Home magazine. Can't remember what year but I do remember my daughter was a toddler, now she is 15. These have always been a big hit and my friends enjoy getting them as a gift.

Excellent and easy recipe but it makes closer to 90 turtles than the 48.

I made these last year for a christmas gift for a friend. She thought I had bought them at a candy store. I toasted the pecans for that extra crunch. These are easy, delicious, and impressive gifts if you can bear to part with them!

WOW...are these yummy!! This is the first time I had made candy and it was surprisingly easy. Made them for our church's High Tea and they were a hit. I melted the chocolate in a double boiler and added double the shortening to get a finer drizzle. Sooooo good!!
