My kids were not crazy about these. The peanut butter center was disappointing.

I love the concept of this recipe, and I so wanted it to be delicious! But it just didn't work out well. The brownies dried out way too much in the cupcake pans. The filling would have been far better (in my opinion) as a creamy surprise, but the addition of the egg makes it more cake-like. And finally, the filling does not bake at the same rate as the brownie itself. All in all, not a good result. If you do try the recipe, remember that the chocolate chips mixed in with the brownie batter may make it difficult to get a read on the doneness of the brownie using the toothpick test that the recipe recommends.

Made this and it was great. I baked it in a brownie pan with dividers. After they cooled I cut each piece in half, covered in melted chocolate chips frosting and topped each piece with a colorful M and M. So pretty and yummy...

Very good and easy to make. We split them and served vanilla ice cream with a squirt of Reese topping on it.
