WOW! These are yummy. I added more peanut butter and a full bag of peanut butter chips and used semi-sweet choco chips. My family loves these. Very chewy and moist, just as I hoped. I only baked it for 30-35 min. because of what other reviewers said and the edges were getting too brown. I think I have eaten half of the dish by myself. I really love this!

Very good! My family loved them. I would say it is a pretty simple recipe, and variations of it can probably be found a lot of other places. Used whole wheat flour and semisweet chocolate chips. Tastes like a peanut butter cookie but much easier to make. They didn't look much like the picture, mine were more cake-like which is fine, but I might have enjoyed them a little better had they been more fudgy. Brought them to a potluck and they were nearly all gone! Also, I took note of the reviews and would recommend baking them for 30-35 minutes as opposed to the 45-50 minutes.

These are so easy!! I have made them 2x now and perfect each time. I baked mid lower level of oven for 50-55 minutes in a greased 9 x 13" baking dish. OMGoodness - nice thick chewy bar. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! AND absolutely delicious!! Def keeper recipe!

This recipe came out delicious, and was not dry at all. I used a glass 9x9 baking dish and only used wheat flour. I also used 3/4 cup of peanut butter and added 1/2 cup of Reese's peanut butter chips. The flavor was excellent and very peanut buttery. They were also very moist and lasted about 4 days before starting to dry out a little too much. They were a huge hit with family and friends, I'll definitely be making these in the future!

My husband and co-workers defined them as a big, thick peanut butter cookie! They were awesome. Instead of chocolate chips I used half a bag of mini peanut butter cups and half a bag of white chocolate chips. I brought a big tray to work and instead of bars I made squares,...Now I have to make another tray for my husband's office! When I read the cooking time of 50 minutes I said NO WAY so I set my oven timer for 25,..nd checked, and had to add more time,...I kept adding time until exactly 50 minutes. So the time turned to be correct (sorry for doubting! ;) ) I will make these again and again. Thanks for posting!!!!

i used 1/2 butterscotch chips & 1/2 chocolate chips which tastes great. I also baked it on a cookie sheet instead of a cake pan so they would be thinner as a bar. only baked for 25 mins, but the are still a bit dry i think. they looked really boring, so i did a chocolate drizzle on top to jaz them up a bit. I think they are OK, don't know if I will make them again or not.

I've been making this recipe for more than thirty years. If you want more peanut butter flavor, then use peanut butter chips in place of half the amount of chocolate chips---I do. I also use a larger pan and bake them for less time, as well as putting the pan on a higher rack in the oven. Perhaps I am just in a cranky frame of mind today, and for this I apologize; however, I get really tired of the Nutrition Police posting their warnings. I would think that most of us are intelligent enough to realize than if you are on a diet, or have health restrictions, you won't be making this recipe. For those of you who are able to, I recommend the recipe. I mean, how often are you going to be eating these? Every day? Every week? Unlikely. Everything in moderation.

I make this with a cake mix and fewer ingredients. It's very moist, and full of peanut butter flavor. It was shared by a neighbor who baked up a batch as a treat for my family some years ago. It is a "go to" recipe for me, requested regularly by our church youth group director, and friends.

These are a nice departure from your standard chocolate cake brownies. They are dense and moist, and not too sweet! I typically use 1/2 dark chocolate and 1/2 milk chocolate chips. However, if you want extra peanut butter flavoring, try using the peanut butter chips. The turn out great!

I have made this twice in the past month... sooo good! It packs and travels very well. Not overly sweet (I use semisweet chocolate chips) but very flavorful. It makes a great snack, potluck offering, or picnic dessert and can be pre-cut into bars and wrapped individually for a car trip. Better than cookies and easier, too.

To keep the edges from burning I watch it carefully the last 10 - to 15 minutes and if it is looking like it is browning too much I just quickly lay a piece of bakeing paper over the top to stop it from browning.
