Good!! We really liked it!

Yummy, creamy and flavourful. Even the kids ate it! I used a spaghetti noodle and precooked chicken slices and bacon to speed things up.

I doubled recipe and added chicken! I also used fresh mushrooms and diced about a 1/2 cup sweet onion and fried with mushrooms....sooooo good!

Skipped the mushrooms (son do not like). and added cubed cooked left over ham.Gone in one day. Will double to insure leftovers for lunch.

This is really delicious! Easy to make although cooking the bacon took longer which made the total time about 45 minutes. What we liked about this recipe is unlike a lot of Carbonara recipes which tend to be dry, this has a creamy texture. I also doubled the recipe. My family really loves this. Next time I'm gonna try and cut back on the butter to make this healthier. I used fat-free Half and Half and it worked out really well. I also grilled some chicken breast (1 lb.) and then cut them into bite size pieces and added last. It was really tasty. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe. :)

This recipe is insanely good! Rarely do I feel the need to write a review on a recipe, but this one is so good I couldn't help it. Very quick and flavor packed! Every member of my family loved it! I did use fresh mushrooms and my sister pan fried breaded chicken to serve with it .

I am SO impressed with this recipe. I made it in a flash and it was gone even faster. Restaurant quality flavor and texture. My changes were just slight and because I had the stuff lying around, but I used fresh crimini mushrooms instead of canned and added some fresh chopped spinach. It was AMAZING. This one slid into the "favorites" folder within an hour. Thanks to the originator for making my day!!!

I add chicken to the recipe...It is a family favorite.

My fiancé and I make this recipe all the time! We like to add cubed chicken. I usually cook the chicken in the same pan as the bacon (after I drain the drippings) so it picks up some of the delicious bacon flavor. I also like to use farfalle pasta instead of mostaccioli.

Loved this recipe. My daughter is a Pasta Carbonara fan and she even thought it was great. We added spinach to it and it was even better.

Amazingly delicious! We did double the sauce except for the bacon and mushrooms. I also used fresh mushrooms, and an extra cup of pasta. Yummy!

This was delicious and so fast to make. My family said it was as good as Cariono's, and that is saying something because they compare all Italian dishes to Carino's and NOTHING has compared up to this point. I served it with grilled chicken tenders. I would also be good with shrimp. Some artichoke hearts and maybe some sun-dried tomatoes would also be really tasty in this dish.

This was so good. I love to try new recipes and my boys accuse me of never making the same thing twice. Their comment after eating this was "don't lose this recipe."

Very good! I didn't have any half-and-half in the fridge so I use whipped cream cheese and milk. It was yummy!

This is every bit as good as any pasta dish at Romano's Macaroni Grill...plus quick & easy (and a lot cheaper)! I did add chicken and used fresh mushrooms and parsley. And even with the added meat there was plenty of sauce!

Instead of mushrooms, I used shrimp sauteed in garlic and white wine. Now every time I ask my husband what he wants for dinner this is what he wants. LOVE IT!!!

so easy and delicious! we'll definitely make this a regular meal in our house

We loved this so much! I only made a few minor changes like slicing fresh mushrooms, using extra parsley flakes, garlic powder since the garlic flavors didn't cook throughout the sauce as well as I would have liked, added chicken, cooked peas, a little tobasco sauce for heat, extra parmesean cheese, and some flour to thicken the sauce.

It was pretty good, but i made it with bacon bits. Prob would have been better with real bacon juices

Reviewed on Jan. 16, 2011 by gcovalt

This was a pretty tasty recipe. I added shrimp.

I added chicken, substituted the bacon for prosciutto, the hot sauce for red pepper flakes and used fresh sliced mushrooms. This was so easy to prepare I would make it for family and friends.

My hubby loved this. Said to make sure and save the recipe. I added italian sausage and bacon....mmmmm perfection!

I've had homemade Carbonara in the past and found it tasteless and un-enjoyable. This recipe by far outshines anything I've ever had, even in a restaurant! I will definitely make this again -- and even add chicken because I think it will go together nicely!
