Parmesan Walnut Bread Recipe
  • Prep: 10 min. Bake: 50 min. + cooling

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1-3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In another bowl, beat the egg, milk and oil until smooth. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the nuts. Pour into a greased 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Yield: 1 loaf.
