Wonderful taste. I put in Craisins and it was so good. Added a small amount of water the last hr to make it a little more stir able. Topped it of with a little milk and ate it. Just the right amount of sweetness. I used 2% regular milk and it worked just great.

I'm not a fan of oatmeal at all but I know how good it is for you. It's a texture thing for me. Steel cut oats don't get that pasty texture regular oatmeal does. This cooks up thick. In a bowl topped with a splash of fat free half & half it makes a yummy warm EASY breakfast.Be sure to grease the sides of your slow cooker. I mixed the dry ingredients in my slow cooker when I was cooking dinner then stirred in the almond milk just before going to bed. 10 pm to 6 am is plenty of cooking time but it will hold up if you cook it a little longer.
