Oregano-Lemon Chicken Recipe

Oregano-Lemon Chicken Recipe Oregano-Lemon Chicken Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 4

I've been known to make this recipe twice a week—it's so delicious. I like to call it "sticky chicken" since the slightly sweet sauce of honey, lemon juice and hers nicely coats the chicken thighs.

The only 3 things I did different was I added the lemon rinds to the cooking process and the smell was very refreshing. I also used the juices to baste the chicken but it seemed to was the spices off so I added a dash of honey & oregano during the last 5 min of cooking time. It made the chicken look more flavorful and the taste was very good. How can you go wrong with garlic, honey lemon and oregano! Very good!

This was super easy and flavorful! I have 4 kids between 10 and 3 and they devoured it. My 6 year old had 2. Anything that's this good and takes 5 minutes to put together is a winner for me!

I thought ths was Great! Next time I may put a little more honey. The drippings on the bottom I just pured on top of everyones plate, to give it extra flavor. Even my little ones ate it all

I hate to be a negative amid so many positives, but I made this dish last night...followed the recipe exactly except I took off the skin plus all visible fat....and it was disappointing. There was a lot of juice in the bottom of the pan that tasted okay, but the thighs themselves weren't sticky with sauce....just a few oregano leaves dotted their surface. They were well cooked and tender, but just not anything special taste-wise.

This recipe is amazing. Have made it a few times. Last night, my 6 year old daughter's friend was over for dinner. She is horrendously picky and yet she devoured this!!! Awesome recipe!

We were not impressed by this recipe. It does have a lot of oregano and lemon flavor but it's nothing spectacular. I may make it again but maybe using some seasoned salt or another spice or ingredient to make it suit our tastes more.

With 7 people, it's rare to find something they all will eat. This dish is a true winner!!!

My family thinks that I am a gourmet cook thanks to this recipe!

My family requests this at least once a month. The only thing we change is that we double the recipe. :)

Recipe was delicious. I substituted boneless-skinless breasts instead of thighs and pan fried. Lots of flavor. I will be making this often.

I always use TOH recipes and rarely leave reviews. I made this last night for two people. Everyone kept licking their fingers and moaniing and saying "yum" and also complimenting me as a cook. DOROTHY -- you did a great thing inventing this recipe. The only thing I did different was added a dollop of habernaro sauce.

I've made this dish several times now, and it's delicious!! Have used chicken drumsticks in place of thighs (just because I didn't have them at the time). I'm so lucky my husband eats everything I cook for him. He especially likes this chicken.

Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely, Joscy from Upstate New York.

This sounds easy and delicious. Has a Greek "feel" to it.
