1/2 cup sugar, divided 2 tablespoons grated orange peel 2 tablespoons water 5 tablespoons butter, cubed 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 3/4 cup plain yogurt 3/4 cup 2% milk GLAZE: 1 cup confectioners' sugar 2 tablespoons orange juice 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar, orange peel and water. Cook and stir over low heat for 3-5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Add butter; stir until melted.
