I came up with this dessert just in time for Easter. Everyone agreed the flavor reminded them of orange creamsicles. It was a definite hit! —Michelle Tokarz, Newport, Michigan

This recipe is very similar to one I grew up loving as a child. My version has slightly-thickened orange jello and whipped topping as the "frosting" part, and also combines mandarin oranges for an extra fruity flare. You can also make an equally good strawberry version. No one DOESN'T like this!

In response to la210 - my suggestion is to use a larger pan or don't use all the cake batter. moonbeam@polarcomm.com

OMG!! When you bake the cake mix in the 15x10x1 in. pan, it over flows like crazy. I had a horrible mess in the oven. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening. I will not make this again until I can figure this problem out.

tasty and delicious. I took it to a potluck, and was the favorite dessert. People really appreciate a dessert that is not store-bought or brownies.
