Oat-Fashioned Strawberry Dessert Recipe

Oat-Fashioned Strawberry Dessert Recipe Oat-Fashioned Strawberry Dessert Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

Meet the Cook: Thanks to this dessert, our house is a popular place in summertime. I make it for family get-togethers, picnics and potlucks, too. It's a treat on a breakfast or brunch buffet also. We like it best with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. We're the parents of a grown son. -Linda Forrest, Belleville, Ontario

I really enjoyed this recipe. I've made it with apples, peaches, blackberries, and rhubarb. Also, I've substituted the flour, baking soda, and salt for bisquik. It works just fine. Additionally, I've used a couple of Tablespoons of lemon juice as well as a teaspoon of vanilla for added flavor. Yum!
