Nutty Apple Syrup
We used pecans and apple jelly to dress up this delightfully different syrup. Try it on any pancakes and waffles.—Lorrie McCurdy, Farmington, New Mexico5 ServingsPrep/Total Time: 15 min.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup apple jelly
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugars and water. Bring to a boil; cook
- and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in the jelly,
- pecans and maple flavoring. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: 1-1/4
- cups.
