I found this recipe in a cookbook I bought on a cruise. My friend and I tried it and it is one of our favorites. It's easy, quick to prepare and looks so elegant on the table.
Nutritional Facts 1 steak with 1/4 cup sauce equals 444 calories, 19 g fat (6 g saturated fat), 81 mg cholesterol, 234 mg sodium, 14 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, 35 g protein.

Shallot SubstitutionsShallots are part of the onion family and have a mild onion-garlic flavor. In place of 3 to 4 shallots, use 1 medium onion plus a pinch of garlic powder or (if you like the taste of garlic) 1 minced garlic clove.
