I wasn't satisfied with other recipes I came across for clam chowder, so I devised this one. Everyone who's tried it raves about it. The dish is great on a cold day.

I made it as written, but next time I'll only use half the milk. I thought the thyme gave it a good flavor.

I did not like the thyme in this recipe, the worst clam chowder I have ever had.

Delicious, especially now since the weather is getting colder! My husband and I loved it, and he keeps telling me he isn't a soup person .... but he keeps asking for more! We both added a little more pepper! I didn't have celery salt, but had celery flakes and added a tad more salt. Excellent!

Clicked off before the stars!
This was excellent. The only change I would make was to add a little bacon. Rich creamy loved it!

OMG! This was my first attempt at Clam Chowder. This is so easy. I could not find celery salt so I used real celery and sauteed it with the onions. This soup was delicious, just the right thickness. I also increased the clams to 3 cans and used 5 potatoes. Delicious!

I made this for Christmas Eve dinner and the husband loved it. We like a little spice, so I threw in some cayenne pepper and that gave it a nice kick. Thanks for the recipe!

First time I ever made chowder, and let me tell you this was great. I never thought this would be so easy and quick. Made a large batch and it was all gone the same day I made it.

Made this last night for my dad and brother. They LOVED it. My brother said it was better than Moe's Clam Chowder which is a big deal on the Oregon Coast. I added 1 lb. of cooked bacon pieces, decreased the onions, and used 6 potatoes. It was excellent and will make it again. It makes a lot. Use a BIG pot to cook it in.
