“Mom made this when we were kids, and it was always my first choice for birthday dinners,” recalls Kristy Hawkes in South Ogden, Utah. “Now I do the prep work in the morning and just let it simmer all day. When I get home, all I have to do is boil the spaghetti, brown some garlic bread and dinner is on!”

This is one of the best spaghetti sauces I've made. How ever,I did change two things;I added 1/2 lb.( Bob Evan's)Italian Sausage to the sauce. And for the spaghetti sauce I buy Emeril's,Gaarrrrllic spaghetti sauce. John C.

This is the BEST slow cooked spaghetti sauce! Warning: Use a 4-qt slow cooker; the 3-qt. is too small. I used a can of drained mushrooms and a little less than 1/2 cup ketchup. Yummy!!! -Lori in WI.
