100% would make again

My mom made these tender ribs for special Sunday suppers when we were growing up. A few common ingredients are all you need to make the zesty sauce that coats them. My family's eyes light up when I bring a plate of these ribs to the table, and company never suspects how easy they are to prepare. —Yvonne White Williamson, New York

I added half a cup of sauted onions intead of the onion powder to sauce. I did not use the brown sugar. My whole family really liked these just as they are. Definately a keeper!

this turned out very good. i did add brown sugar for a little more sweetness and flour for thickness and it was perfect thanks to everyones comments.

Agreed with previous comment. This is easy and tasted good. I only cooked mine for 1.5 hour, and uses flour to thicken the sauce.

Easy and very good. Uses a lot of ketchup, when I have not had enough I have used a "taste of home" recipe for ketchup to make up the difference using tomato sauce and spices. Turns out great both ways. Gonna make 'em again tonight!

I didnt use as much water because I wanted my sauce thicker and I used more hot sauce because I like it spicy and it turned out fabulous. It didnt need brown sugar because the ketchup added just the right amount of sweetness. Thanks for the recipe, no wonder it has a blue ribbon!

Yes, I have had it both ways it should have brown sugar in it, otherwise its just a tomato sauce with no sweetness to it.

I agree with badkitty's comments. I looked over the recipe ingredients, and there is nothing in the sauce to make it sweet, like most barbeque sauces. You could use a bottled barbecue sauce, if you are in doubt of the sauce part of this recipe.
